Exhibition Highlights: Guest Curator Jeff Kelley talks about the exhibition Half Life of a Dream, which features works by contemporary artists struggling to reconcile their individual dreams with the collective dream of Communism under Mao. Kelley discusses Sui Jianguo's The Sleep of Reason, a room-sized installation depicting Mao asleep amidst a swirling mass of brightly colored dinosaurs.
Voices from the Collection: Excerpts from a 2005 interview with Bruce Conner, in which the artist speaks about the evolving creative process that led to his series of photograms.
Vox Pop: Visitors share their insights and questions about The Sleep of Reason's potential significance, and describe what they see in Conner's photogram SOUND OF ONE HAND ANGEL.
Guest Take: World-renowned cellist and composer Joan Jeanrenaud presents "Ink Blot," her ode to Bruce Conner.
